Moving Day was cancelled at the Volvo China Open due to thunder and lightning in Shenzhen.

Hidden Grace Golf Club

Following Saturday's cancellation, the event will now be a 54-hole tournament with the third and final round to be played on Sunday.

It was meant to be an intriguing third round at Hidden Grace Golf Club, where Asian Swing Rankings leader Sebastian Söderberg held a three-shot advantage at the top of the leaderboard at 16 under par.

Only two groups got under way before play was initially suspended at 8.18am local time due to the dangerous situation caused by lightning in the Shenzhen area.

Practice facilities were then closed one hour later before it was announced at 2.11pm that the third round had been cancelled.

The final round will now be played on Sunday in a two tee, three ball format with the leading trio of Söderberg, Paul Waring and Guido Migliozzi heading out in the final group at 9.50am.

Söderberg is hoping to make his debut at the US PGA Championship later this month via the Asian Swing Rankings, which concludes after this event, with the top three in the standings earing a place at Valhalla Golf Club if not already exempt.
